Chemo Tuesday!

Happy Chemo Tuesday Team Princess Maggie!! I slept in until 11:00! So I ordered lunch for my breakfast 🙂 Chemo went well yesterday. My doctors have decided to cut one of my chemo therapies in half since my body has had such a hard time recovering from it. As long as everything goes well I’ll have chemo today and tomorrow evening and then I’ll get to go home! Thank you all for your prayers!!

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Chemo time!!

Two chemo days down, 3 to go! Hopefully I will get my CT scan results in the next couple of days!! I have had lots of fun playing with my nurses, speech therapist and a new friend who also has cancer. So far I have had a couple of princess chemo’s and one my little pony! So I may turn into a princess pony, we’ll just have to wait and see 😉 My tummy has only been a little upset and my legs are tired, so I’m having a pretty good week so far! My room number is h12b48 if you want to send me a free card through the hospital! Thank you for your prayers and support!!

Good news and bad news

I have good news and bad news. The good news is I don’t have chemo this week. The bad news is I can’t have chemo this week. I am grateful I get to stay home, and am trusting God that this is what is best for my body this week. Please pray that my platelet counts will come up enough by next Monday that I can have my 5 days of chemo.
On another good note I have 2 new pets!! They are crickets, and I named them aurora and rapunzel! I am hoping when I am finished with my chemo (hopefully by the end of the year or maybe next spring) I can get my very own puppy! She will be a sheltie and I will name her aurora angel.
Thank you for checking in on me and for your prayers!!

Cap change and butterfly wings

My fever has been gone for 24 hours!! So I can go home as soon as my immune system starts building back up (My ANC is still at zero)! The platelet transfusion I got yesterday morning has made me feel much better, and since my fever has been gone for a day I am out of isolation and am allowed to walk around the floor. I love the room we’re in because I can see the helicopters land and take off! My room number is h12.a14 if you would like to send me a free card! Thank you to everyone who has prayed and/or donated blood to my reserve!!!

Taking it easy

We found out yesterday that my ANC (a measurement of my immune system) is super low even though I have been getting neupogen shots. So today I have been playing inside and taking if easy. Sometimes I get frustrated when I can’t play with my friends and go places they go, but I know it’s for the best. Please ask God that the shots I’m getting will work well and that my hemoglobin comes back up! Also pray for my great mamaw Lyon and my friend Addie as they recover in the hospital from their surgeries. I would like to thank God that our friend came and fixed our air conditioning this week because it was SO hot! Also that my online christian school gave me 3 scholarships so that my mommy and daddy won’t have to pay very much for my tuition! I love you all!! -Maggie

Build a princess bear

I woke up today with an upset tummy from the chemo, but thank goodness for medicine that makes it feel better!! I spent the rest of the day with my memaw! We made a trip to build a bear and I got to make a princess aurora bear!! (My favorite princess) I’d like to praise God for feeling better in the afternoon and getting to have fun. Please pray for our friend Addie she had to have surgery and is in the picu because she had bleeding in her brain. Also please pray that my legs don’t get to sore and bruised from the shots I have to get every day for the next couple of weeks.

Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name..” – 1 chronicles 29:13

Headed home!

So after 6 days of being in the hospital for chemo treatments, I finally get to go home!! Boy am I tired. Please pray that my platelet count recovers better before my next chemo (this past time it took 3 whole weeks and 3 blood product transfusions!). Also, that I won’t be too nauseous. I am looking forward to playing with my brothers and getting to sleep in my own bed. Thank you so much for your support with my gamerosity campaign!! I can’t wait to see what my surprise is!

Blood Transfusion- Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

We are a sleepy bunch at the hospital!  Here is a picture of me and daddy on Friday waiting for my blood transfusion.  I would like to thank God for all the people who love me and are cheering me on!  I would also like to ask for prayer that my chemo treatments continue to go smoothly (I should have a few months left before we are done).  Also please pray for my great-grandma Lyon as her heart is giving her some serious problems and the doctors don’t know if there is anything that they can do for her.
