Last week I…
lost a tooth, got a blood transfusion, had my blood drawn twice, and got to spend lots of time with my family since my counts dropped much more quickly from my last chemo! Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me this past week! I was a little down so your prayers helped me to feel better 🙂
I am on my way home!! I had such a wonderful time with my heme-onc and student nurses, they helped my stay in the hospital fly by! I had an EKG this morning because my heart rate kept dipping down at night, but the results came back normal! Also my CT scan showed no new tumor growth, and that the cyst on my ovary is about the same!!! So the plan is to keep on with chemo to get rid of any bad cells that are left. Thank you all so much for your prayers!
Two chemo days down, 3 to go! Hopefully I will get my CT scan results in the next couple of days!! I have had lots of fun playing with my nurses, speech therapist and a new friend who also has cancer. So far I have had a couple of princess chemo’s and one my little pony! So I may turn into a princess pony, we’ll just have to wait and see 😉 My tummy has only been a little upset and my legs are tired, so I’m having a pretty good week so far! My room number is h12b48 if you want to send me a free card through the hospital! Thank you for your prayers and support!!
My family and I had a great time at the shekinah festival today!! It was so nice to get to play out in the sunshine and be around other kids my age! I enjoyed doing sand art, getting my face painted, riding the barrel train, and playing on the bounce house. Also, my doctors said that my counts on friday looked good enough that I should hopefully be able to start chemo this monday!! We will get to stay at ronald mcdonald’s house on sunday night because I have to be at the hospital at 6 in the morning to start drinking the contrast for my CT scans at 8. I am being sedated for these scans so that they can get a good picture. They will be doing three scans: one of my chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Please pray that the doctors see what they need to see and that no new tumors have grown 🙂
Today was my first day of homeschool first grade!!! It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed getting to learn new things! My school goes from 9-2! And it’s nice because I can do my work wether I’m at home or in the hospital.
I also had something else special happen today! My brothers and I each got our very own betta fish! My fish is name Aurora (of course), Luke’s is monster truck, and Gideon’s is named shark. At first Luke wanted a piranha, but mommy and daddy didn’t think that was such a good idea. I hope you all had a great day too!!
My prayer request for today is for my CT scan I’ll have this coming Monday to make sure that there hasn’t been any new tumor growth.
This is the day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. -psalm 18:24
I have good news and bad news. The good news is I don’t have chemo this week. The bad news is I can’t have chemo this week. I am grateful I get to stay home, and am trusting God that this is what is best for my body this week. Please pray that my platelet counts will come up enough by next Monday that I can have my 5 days of chemo.
On another good note I have 2 new pets!! They are crickets, and I named them aurora and rapunzel! I am hoping when I am finished with my chemo (hopefully by the end of the year or maybe next spring) I can get my very own puppy! She will be a sheltie and I will name her aurora angel.
Thank you for checking in on me and for your prayers!!
